Centrifugal Pump with advanced Seal technology for pharmaceutical process

The Fristam FPV Centrifugal Pump with advanced seal technology; double seal flush, C-cooling, and diamond seal works for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical processing. Engineered for high-pressure WFI (water for injection) & high-purity pharmaceutical applications. Types of Pharmaceutical Pumps comply with the ASME BPE (Bioprocessing Equipment), CE, 3A and EHEDG compliant design standards to enhance product purity and reduce contamination risk.

For pharmaceutical applications, the FPV centrifugal pump is available with three advanced mechanical sealing options, which depend upon operating temperature, process fluid, sterility requirement and cleaning methods. The seal options serve a different purpose. The pressurised double-seal flush systems that maintain positive pressure in the critical seal area to ensure product sterility and prevent flashing. The front seal flush is a recirculation loop which saves valuable products. The internal seal design provides extra cooling and lubrication on the front seal face to significantly extend seal life and enhance system uptime. The typical pharma applications are APIs, sterile formulations, solvents, and crystallised products and FDA compliant with passivated and tested for sterile application.

Then, another advanced seal technology is C-cooling, which cools the mechanical seal to prevent overheating, a unique Balanced Design, multi-coil springs and a pusher-type seal. Designed for Hot water application with API Plan 11 and built-in hydrodynamic feature. It ensures a liquid film between the faces, which helps to minimize wear and ultimately to achieve long seal life. Applications for C-cooling include hot CIP solutions, heated syrup transfer, hot purified water, heated chemicals, and temperature-sensitive media.
With the diamond seal option, the seal faces are specially made with a unique diamond face coating. It acts as a single mechanical seal that is extremely hard and war-resistant and exhibits low friction and excellent heat conductivity. No external cooling is required under normal conditions. Typical applications include WFI (water for injection), purified water, RO water, ethanol, IPA, low-viscosity buffers, and CIP buffers.

Specific Construction

Every Fristam FPV centrifugal pump uses a casing drain built alongside multiple mounting options, giving pumps with 100% drainability, which matters most for keeping the system validated-clean over the long run. This design pairs with CIP (clean-in-place) and SIP (steam-in-place) sterilization capability, so external cooling equipment becomes unnecessary between batches. That combination keeps validation cycles shorter and operating costs more predictable across multi-shift production.
Being a hygienic centrifugal pump at its core, the FPV Pharma Pump series works well with sterile fluids that are sensitive to shear or contamination risk. Material of construction stands with stainless steel 316L (1.4404), 1.4435, 1.4462 or 1.4539, special MOC, Hastelloy or titanium with low delta ΔFe cont. <1% grade components covering the wetted parts for corrosion resistance. Using only these high-quality metals guarantees the best possible hygienic standards for operation in sensitive industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and cosmetics. That precision keeps contamination risk low and cuts down product loss on delicate biologics, something plants tend to notice within the first few validations runs. Low NPSHr value for customized compact skid design.

Where the FPV Centrifugal Pump is used?

Fristam FPV series centrifugal pumps are used across sterile plant floors built for high-purity applications. A biopharmaceutical processing pump line uses it for WFI (water for injection) transfer, buffer prep and media movement, and as a sterile CIP system pump, it keeps validated cleaning cycles running between batches. Vaccine and biologics manufacturers pick it too, running it for shear-sensitive formulations that standard transfer pumps tend to damage.

FAQs

1. Who is a dependable FPV Centrifugal Pump Manufacturer in India?

Fristam works as a trusted FPV Centrifugal Pump Manufacturer and FPV Centrifugal Pump Supplier in India, running its manufacturing facility out of Chakan, Pune. Plants across the pharmaceutical sector rely on this line for sterile, high-purity transfer.

2. What certifications back Fristam's pharmaceutical industry pump range?

Fristam is certified to ISO 9001:2008 and affiliated with 3-A, EHEDG, and ASME BPE (bioprocessing equipement). Together, these cover the hygiene, design and documentation standards that any pharmaceutical industry pump needs to meet today.

3. How does the FPV centrifugal pump work as a waste-reducing pump?

Its pressurised double-seal flush recirculates product at the front seal instead of draining it, cutting losses and stretching seal life. Plants get a genuine waste-reducing pump, not just a marketing claim.

4. What are common centrifugal pump applications in pharma plants?

Centrifugal pumps handle Water for Injection transfer, buffer and media movement, and CIP or SIP circulation, covering most pumps used in pharmaceutical industry settings today.

5. Why do biopharmaceutical plants choose a biopharmaceutical centrifugal pump like the FPV over standard models?

The FPV's stainless steel build, USP Class VI elastomers and full traceability documentation meet sterility demands that standard centrifugal pump models are not built to handle.
